Living Art of Wood; A Short Documentary

I was contacted by Starlee Matz to create a short film showing the process of Isreali artist and Portland resident, Nadav Doron.

A landscaper by trade, Nadav in recent years began wood carving using material he finds as a byproduct of his landscaping work. With stumps and sections of wood from trees and large bushes, he creates unique and beautiful bowls through a process of drying, carving, and polishing each piece. The final bowls vary in size and shape, and evoke different characteristics based on the source of the wood. Each piece guides Nadav into its final form. The finished bowls can be both decorative works of art, and utilitarian.
